Centres for Women Entrepreneurship Centres for Women Entrepreneurship-A Cross-border Network for the Future is one of the projects financed from the Sustainable Economic Development Grant Scheme within the Neighbourhood Programme Serbia-Bulgaria 2005. Centres for Women Entrepreneurship-A Cross-border Network for the Future aims to contribute to the socio-economic development and cohesion in the border region by supporting full inclusion of female population in economy.
The target group of Centres for Women Entrepreneurship-A Cross-border Network for the Future is women entrepreneurs and SMEs owned by women. Besides women entrepreneurs, the final beneficiaries of the project can also be families of women entrepreneurs and employees of SMEs owned by women, potential women entrepreneurs, organizations and associations supporting women, project partners and all local/regional stakeholders. The key expected result of the project Centres for Women Entrepreneurship-A Cross-border Network for the Future in relation to the Chamber capacity building aspect is the creation of a network of five Centres for Women Entrepreneurship in the border region. It is also expected that the partners will develop know-how on how to run need-oriented business support services for active and potential women entrepreneurs. The establishment of new Centres for Women Entrepreneurship will consequently lead to better availability and quality of business-support services for women and increased visibility of women in economy. The planned activities of business visits, business matching and entrepreneurial training will result in the creation of a cross-border network of women entrepreneurs from Serbia and Bulgaria, improved internationalization of SMEs owned by women and improved knowledge and skills of women entrepreneurs. |
