PERNIK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRYPernik Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a nonprofit legal entity founded in 1991. The Chamber gathers persons and legal entities to support, promote, represent and protect their economic interests.There are councils, clubs or other entities related to the Chamber, which join their members basing on functional, territorial, professional or other principle. PCCI is an integral part of the system of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Sofia and the regional chambers of commerce and industry in the country. The major aims of the Chamber are: 1. to provide support to its members in optimizing the economical conditions in the region, and in the country. 2. to represent and protect the interests of its members at the regional authorities and the regional administration, as well as at national institutions and authorities; at other local, foreign and international organizations, with which the Chamber has partnership relations. 3. to support its members in expanding their opportunities at the international markets. • In order to achieve its aims, PPCI keeps contacts with national and regional institutions and authorities, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Sofia as well as the rest of the regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the system, with regional branch organizations, and foreign and international bodies and organizations, with which the Chamber has partnership relations. • The Chamber has about 300 members – legal entities, divided into different economical branches. • The Chamber keeps close relations with international regional chambers and business associations, and has been implementing successfully EU funds projects with these partners. • PCCI takes part in national public, consultative and other bodies and organizations at regional and national level, as well as in regional and municipal bodies of triple cooperation as an employers’ organization.
