REGIONAL CHAMBER OF ECONOMY ZAJEČAR

Regional Chamber of Economy Zajecar is part of a single chamber system in Republic of Serbia. The Chamber was founded in 1962 and since then it has been in function of economic development, above all, through servicing the needs of its members.
Regional Chamber of Commerce Zaječar is an interest-based, independent and business oriented professional organization of enterprises, entrepreneurs, banks, organization for insurance of property and entities and other ways of organizing which perform a registered business activity on the territories of the municipalities of Boljevac, Bor, Kladovo, Knjaževac, Majdanpek, Negotin, Sokobanja and Zaječar.

The Chamber performs the activities and tasks of common interest for economy on the territory of the Chamber and for its members, according to the Law on Chambers, and particularly on activities related to:

• creation of ambience for development of market economy and privatization,
• removal of all obstacles for development of trade in the country and development of trade with international partners,
• facilitation of overall economic development of the region and Republic of Serbia, particularly economic infrastructure,
• facilitation of direct investments in economy of the region and Republic of Serbia,
• increase of export of goods and services from the region,
• development of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship,
• presentation and promotion of economy of the region at home and abroad,
• prevention of all forms of monopoly and corruption,
• additional education of personnel for the needs of economy and those employed in the Chamber,
• cultivation of good business practices and business ethics,
• build-up of a single information system and E-commerce,
• development of quality systems, conducting of economic policy,
• informing of public on its suggestions, views and its work, joint (single) appearance of a complete chamber system in protection of interests of the economy

Almost 7500 various business entities are registered at the area of Regional Chamber of Economy Zajecar – nearly 1000 of business oriented professional organizations of different size and about 6500 entrepreneurs.
